This static caravan in Margate now feels like a proper home. Our fitting team has dressed every window with plantation shutters in a crisp pure white finish and 76mm louvres, giving the owners privacy, light control and a clean look from the lounge through to the bedrooms and bathroom.
Caravan windows are often an awkward size, but made-to-measure shutters solve that neatly. Each opening was surveyed on site, manufactured to fit the recess, then installed by Abacus Blinds' own team. No off-the-shelf blinds that gap at the sides: just shutters that sit flush and look built in.

76mm louvres work especially well in compact rooms. They let plenty of daylight through when tilted open, feel less busy than smaller slats, and give caravan interiors a polished, hotel-style finish without crowding the walls.
Shutters that suit caravan living
Static caravans and park homes need window dressings that cope with smaller openings, close neighbours and damp bathrooms. Shutters tick all three boxes: they fold back for a clear view, tilt for privacy without blocking the glass entirely, and wipe clean in high-moisture rooms like the bathroom we fitted here.
In the lounge, full-height panels cover the large patio door and side window so the owners can control glare on sunny afternoons at the coast. Bedrooms get the same pure white treatment for a consistent look, with mid-rails where needed so louvres above and below can be adjusted independently.
