Roman blinds use more fabric and fold into soft pleats, giving a richer, more decorative look. Rollers are simpler and often more practical in kitchens and bathrooms, while romans are popular where customers want texture and a more luxurious finish.

We usually recommend premium bonded blackout lining for bedrooms because it improves light reduction and gives the blind a fuller, more luxurious fold. Standard lining is available where maximum darkness is not required.

Blackout lining substantially darkens a room, but some light can still enter around the edges of the recess. For most bedrooms this is more than adequate, and we will advise on the best lining for your needs.

Yes. Motorisation is available on our roman blind range, allowing smooth operation by remote control — useful for larger windows or blinds behind furniture.

A fascia cassette is an optional cover at the top of the blind that conceals the mechanism and fabric stack. It gives a very neat, finished look where the headrail would otherwise be visible.
